Can the relegation-threatened ‘Granotes’ pull through?
Relegation battle in Valencia! Wettbasis offers a tip and odds for the basement clash between Levante and Sevilla. The home side sits in second-to-last place, and things don’t look much better for the visitors, who are 16th in the table, just two points above the relegation zone.
Most recently, however, Sevilla made a statement with a win against fourth-place Atlético Madrid. On the other hand, that three-point win must be put into perspective. With their qualification for the next edition of the Champions League all but secured, the “Colchoneros” no longer have any real goals left in league play.
Instead, the Madrid side’s focus is currently entirely on the ongoing Champions League campaign, and at the time of the clash with the Andalusians, Atlético fielded nothing more than a second-string lineup. With the exception of last weekend’s win, the visitors have also been struggling for some time.
In fact, the victory against Simeone’s side was their only win in the past six matchdays (1-2-3). In contrast, the home team’s form is currently on the rise.
The “Granotes” have collected 11 points during that same period! Given this difference in the current form of the two teams, a prediction of a home win—including the safety net of a draw—looks promising for the match between Levante and Sevilla.
Furthermore, in our opinion, the odds on a goal by Carlos Espi for the home side could be worth a bet. The striker is currently in particularly good scoring form.
The striker has failed to score in only one of the past six league games, and the 20-year-old youngster has netted twice on two occasions. Just how dominant he is in Levante’s attack is also evident from the fact that Espi has scored no fewer than seven of Levante’s past nine goals.
Levante – Sevilla Head-to-Head Record
The “Azulgranas” and the visiting players from the “Bombonera” faced off once earlier this year. In that match, UD won 3-0 in Seville. Thanks to the win, the hosts ended a previous nine-game winless streak against the “Nervionenses,” and only one of those matches didn’t end in a loss for the hosts!

Levante – Sevilla Prediction
Coach Luís Castro’s home side is under particular pressure ahead of the match. Safety is already four points away for the second-to-last-placed team, while the visitors currently hold a two-point lead over the relegation zone.
Recently, however, the increased pressure has led to an improvement in Levante’s performance.
This is especially true for their home games: The hosts have earned more than half (10) of their 17 home points this season in just the past four matches in front of their own fans!
In contrast, the visiting “Blanquirrojos” seem to be having more trouble dealing with the relegation battle. Three of Sevilla’s last four league matches ended in defeat, and as mentioned, their most recent victory against Atlético was largely due to the timing of the match, which was very favorable for Sevilla. Given this situation, the betting odds for a home win (DNB) in the match between Levante and Sevilla look promising.
