Will Brazil deliver another goal fest?

This weekend will see the final friendly matches take place. The time for experimentation is over, and we expect the teams to field their best lineups. This is also the case in the Brazil vs. Egypt match, where the bet on the “Selecao” is at odds of 1.36.

But the Pharaohs certainly shouldn’t be underestimated; they held Spain to a 0-0 draw earlier this year. That doesn’t seem to impress the bookmakers, however, who clearly view the Africans as underdogs in their predictions for the Brazil vs. Egypt match, with odds as high as 9.00 at the top.

While the “Selecao” aims to have a major say in the fight for the World Cup title, the Red-White-Blacks are considered underdogs. In their group with Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand, however, we give head coach Hossam Hassan’s squad a good chance of reaching the knockout stage. In the Round of 32, they could potentially face the host nation, the USA.

The “Canarinho,” of course—as with every World Cup—must be counted among the top favorites. In Group C with Morocco, Haiti, and Scotland, advancing should really be a formality, but we’ve seen it all in soccer.

Brazil – Egypt Head-to-Head Record

In the recent past, the two nations have faced each other twice. Both matches ended in a victory for the South Americans.

In the last match, the score was 2-0 after 90 minutes, and we expect the Pharaohs won’t have much to show for themselves on Sunday either.

Brazil – Egypt Prediction

Brazil, one of the major World Cup favorites, heads into this match at Cleveland Browns Stadium. In World Cup qualifying, the “Selecao” did not cruise through the group stage nearly as confidently as many might have expected. After 18 matches, the Yellow-and-Green had eight wins and four draws to their name.

Their total of 28 points ultimately meant only fifth place, but it was still enough for direct qualification. With 24 goals, the five-time world champions scored the third-most goals behind Argentina and Colombia. The top scorer was Rafinha, who found the net five times.

In Group A of the African qualifiers, Egypt faced Burkina Faso, Sierra Leone, Djibouti, Ethiopia, and Guinea-Bissau. The Pharaohs marched through the matches undefeated, winning the group with eight wins and two draws.

On average, the ball found the net twice per game. The defense, however, was particularly brilliant, conceding only twice. The team is led by its captain, veteran, and star Mohamed Salah.

He is expected to provide the necessary goal celebrations alongside Omar Marmoush.

A major advantage for the Brazilians—in addition to the individual strength of players like Neymar, Rafinha, Vini, and Marquinhos—is legendary coach Ancelotti on the bench. Under his leadership, we believe the “Canarinho” are capable of great things at the World Cup. But the Pharaohs also have some real weapons, especially on offense, so our recommendation for the Brazil vs. Egypt match, at odds of 1.56 with the tested bookmaker, is to bet on over 2.5 goals.

The South Americans demonstrated just how good the “Selecao” is in their recent 6-2 victory over World Cup participant Panama. If the Yellow-Greens are in that kind of form again, it will be very difficult for Hassan’s team. Therefore, between Brazil and Egypt, at odds of 1.90, betting on a win for Ancelotti’s team (HC -1.5) is a good alternative.
