Will the German drop another set?

A rain delay and brief treatment for a foot injury – Alex Zverev’s last match was quite eventful. Nevertheless, the score in the match against France’s Alexandre Müller was a respectable 3-1 for last year’s finalist.

At first glance, the Brit is a real favorite opponent for the Hamburg native: the two players have faced each other five times, and Zverev has always come out on top. However, the closest match between the two took place at the Australian Open two years ago.

The German triumphed by the narrowest of margins, winning a tiebreak in the fifth set. Against this backdrop and given the Hanseatic player’s somewhat shaky performances so far, it is worth predicting that the underdog will win at least one set in the match between Alexander Zverev and Cameron Norrie.

As described, Zverev is not a good match for the 2022 Wimbledon semifinalist. He has lost all five encounters to date and only won one set.

For the next edition of Alexander Zverev vs. Cameron Norrie, the odds once again point to a victory for the German.

Alexander Zverev – Cameron Norrie Tip

Cameron Norrie is ranked 25th in the world, twenty places behind Zverev. Furthermore, the 30-year-old, who has been playing professionally since 2017, has a record of victories that could be improved upon. He has no more than five titles on the ATP Tour to his name, although the majority (3) were won on hard courts.

In addition, Norrie’s greatest success at the Australian Open was reaching the round of 16 two years ago. In contrast, Zverev feels quite at home “Down Under.” Last year, he made it to the final, and his performances so far in the current edition of the “Happy Slam” have been solid.

We therefore expect a victory for the Hamburg native, but the betting odds on the underdog winning at least one set appear particularly interesting in the match between Alexander Zverev and Cameron Norrie. The German has always lost one set in his two appearances at the Australian Open 2026 so far.

On top of that, the match between the two players at the tournament two years ago turned into a real nail-biter with five sets and a playing time of more than four hours. In our opinion, it is therefore unlikely that “Sascha” will have an easy ride at Margaret Court Arena.
