Will the champions strike back?
The champions from Oklahoma have a problem, and his name is Victor Wembanyama! The Frenchman dominated the first matchup in the Western Conference Finals and nearly single-handedly defeated OKC, especially in the two overtimes.

The hosts now have just one win to their name following their opening-game loss. The prospect of traveling to Texas for two straight road games with a potential 0-2 deficit is unlikely to sound appealing to OKC.
However, we’re not only expecting another stellar performance from “Wemby,” but also a strong showing from Dylan Harper on the visitors’ side. The “rookie” recently moved into the “starting five” due to De’Aaron Fox’s absence and scored 24 points.
Even before that, however, Harper had impressed as a bench player, scoring at least twelve points in five of the seven previous games in the 2026 NBA Playoffs. With that in mind, for Game 2 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs, we’re predicting he’ll score more than 11.5 points again.
Furthermore, in our opinion, this doesn’t look like it will be a high-scoring affair. Both teams boast excellent defenses, and a look at the statistics shows just how strong they are when facing off directly.
Five of OKC’s last six home games against the team from the Frost Bank Center ended with a maximum of 219 points. The only exception was the last game, and that was only because it went into double overtime. In light of this, the odds on under 220.5 points also appear to be a good bet for Game 2 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the San Antonio Spurs.
Oklahoma City Thunder – San Antonio Spurs Head-to-Head Record
The Spurs won the last matchup earlier this week 122-115 after double overtime. No new pattern in this matchup: Including the back-and-forth battle in the NBA Cup semifinals last December in Las Vegas, the Texans have won five of the last six games against OKC.
Nevertheless, the betting odds for Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals between the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs point toward a home win.
Oklahoma City Thunder – San Antonio Spurs Pick
A few days ago, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was named MVP for the second time in a row. However, the Oklahoma guard has rarely lived up to this rare honor in the current playoffs so far.
In fact, his scoring average in the postseason has dropped from 31.2 points in the regular season to 28.6 points per game, and the trend continues downward. Looking back at the last five games, he has even averaged just 24.4 points
On top of that, Victor Wembanyama is now stealing the media spotlight from him on the visitors’ side.
The Frenchman, for his part, is the reigning NBA “Defensive Player of the Year,” and his 24 rebounds in the first matchup quickly demonstrated that, in his case, the award was unanimously selected for the first time in NBA history—and not without reason.
In his wake, Dylan Harper is also performing better and better. The rookie was selected second overall in the last draft, and the Spurs can only congratulate themselves on that decision.
In seven of the last ten postseason games, Harper has scored twelve or more points. With that in mind, betting on the youngster to score more than 11.5 points again in Game 2 between the Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs is worth considering.
