Will the Adler bounce back?
Game 2 of the 2026 DEL Final is coming up! After the opener on the Rhine last Friday, the series moves to the capital, and we have a prediction ready for Game 2 between Eisbären Berlin and Adler Mannheim! The hosts delivered a great performance to kick things off. Against the best defense of the regular season, they celebrated a commanding 7-3 victory!
Now they’re also banking on home-ice advantage: Berlin has won nine of their last ten home games and all six home games in the 2026 DEL playoffs. However, we expect a response from the visitors and, above all, an improved defensive performance. With that in mind, we’re predicting a maximum of three goals for the home team in the matchup between the Eisbären Berlin and Adler Mannheim.
Furthermore, we believe Liam Kirk is capable of scoring the next goal. The 26-year-old is finding his rhythm in the DEL playoffs and has scored in three of the last four games. Kirk even recorded a brace in the last game against the Adler.
Eisbären Berlin – Adler Mannheim Head-to-Head Record
Prior to their most recent matchup last Friday night, which ended in a 7-3 victory for Berlin, the two teams faced off four times during the regular season. Each team recorded two home wins and two away losses.
Furthermore, the Eisbären have maintained a strong home record against Mannheim for quite some time. Since March 2024 and a crushing 1-7 home loss, the hosts have not lost to the Adler and have instead racked up eight consecutive wins in front of their own fans.
However, half of these victories were by a margin of one goal or less. For the upcoming match between Eisbären Berlin and Adler Mannheim, however, the odds are once again pointing toward a home victory.
Eisbären Berlin – Adler Mannheim Prediction
Berlin barely made it into the DEL playoffs as the sixth seed after the regular season. In the postseason, however, the champions of the past two seasons are now putting their vast experience to good use. This was already evident in the semifinals with their victory over the Haie from Cologne.
Against the best team of the regular season, Berlin recorded an impressive 4-2 win, and the series opener in the finals was also very successful with a 7-3 road victory. However, the drubbing has undoubtedly also stoked the fighting spirit of the visitors.
Furthermore, we expect the Adler, who are back in a final for the first time since 2019, to handle the particularly high pressure of a final series better in this second matchup. In light of these points, we see sufficient value in the betting odds for a maximum of three goals by the home team in Game 2 between the Eisbären Berlin and Adler Mannheim.
This is also supported by the fact that the Adler play with less pressure on the road anyway. Compared to the opening game of the finals series in front of their home crowd, expectations for Coach Dallas Eakins’ team have decreased for now.
